Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks

i have a TRD sport longbed 2008 and i am buying Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks just wondering if it is all i need and if it will work for my truck or if there is anything i need to look out for and/or get?

 

Looks like all the bells & whistles, except didnt see extended brakelines..

maybe im missing something, good price...

You shouldn't need extended brake lines with that set-up. What's up with the back order? There's another kit for $800 already assembled front shocks. Just remove the others and replace. You "may" need UCA's or decide to get some down the road if you get alignment issues!

Also, the front diff drop will do nothing........you could always piece together your own kit. All you'll need are front coilovers (shocks and springs), rear AAL with longer ubolts and rear shocks!

 

You may or may not need extended lines, I've lifted some '05-'06's & not needed them (simple AAL, only an inch or 2, & i've done the same thing to some newer 2nd gens. '09- '11 & the lines have almost no slack, seems to matter where they;re made,

I've had great success with diff. drops in situations where just a little change in front diff. height corrects CV angle, which if too much causes pre mature wear & tear on the CV shafts but REALLY shortens life of CV boots

 

What seething you going to put it at OP?

If you do .85 you will not need UCAs.
1.75 you don't need to but you will have lil caster.
2.5 still don't need to but you will have no caster so it's highly recommended.

Break lines you should not need. I lifted my rear up an inch and I am okay.
Also the more you lift the front end since you 4X4 the more strain you will put on your cv joints.

 

I have installed some brake line extenders on another members truck, but didnt really see a reason at only a 3" lift and as for the diff drop see the link!!!

Hey guys, i'm wanting to install the ultimate lift kit to my '03 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 and I have a couple questions. The ultimate lift kit can be set from 0"-3 1/2". If I set the coilovers at 3 1/2", will I need the 3/4" top plate spacers? And if so, can the 1/4" spacer used to correct driver's side lean be used with the top plate spacers? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

 

hey guys I just want to level my 2012 dbl cab short bed 4x4 trd off road can I just put all 4 5100's and adjust the fronts to .85 or 1.75 ? would I need to realign the front end ? kinda went over budget on the kn 63 series cai and custom dual exhaust out the back ? any suggestions don't do much off road but looking for level better riding thanks
