Rear leafs? I am going to replace the front and rear with 5100's and springs. I'm still a little confused about the settings but I will drive that road when I order. My rear leafs are flat. I also want about 2.5 lift. I have a few questions. Can I get leafs with 2.5 built in? Will I need new brake lines? I have done the diff drop and rear brake bracket adjuster. Part numbers for leafs or a place to order for a good deal would be appreciated. I understand they are different from 95-97 in comparison to other first gens. Lay some knowledge on me.

If you haven't already done so, check out Tacoma Lift FAQ/Guide and Suspension Lift Info Stickies in the Suspension forum - LOTS of good information. On to your questions...

Yes. You can get leafs that will provide ~2.5" of lift.

New brake line(s) may or may not be required, but are a good idea.
( and are probably good places to start)

You didn't ask, but DSM ususally offers the best price on Bilstein 5100s.

I just prepped these for a 1st gen, 2 Chevy 1 ton S-10 leafs per side

heres your 2.5" (actually more like 3") lift. & I'm willing to bet they'd saddle up nicely with your existing springs bringing them back to life to stay....

or go buy brand new leaf springs (too pricy for me $$$$)

Yours are saggy & frowning just like the 10000 other Toyota springs i see, but looks salvageable...

its the first 10" from either eyelett that determines whether or not I bother with trying to rebuild them....

anything bent in this area is trash....

I have OME Dakar leaf springs for a pickup or 95-97 Tacoma from my recalled 96 just sitting in my garage. They provide about the 2.5" of lift you are looking for, in addition to higher payload capacity. Only were on the truck for 10 months. They are 130ea new from 4by4connection.com.

100 plus shipping for the pair.
