I think weather tech has had plenty of time to make adjustments, as I stated in another post my last email to them on 1/21 they claim still no time frame. I wish also that someone with the husky liners in their 2012 would post some pics. I am willing to wait a little bit longer but my patience is running out.

    :notsure:
It's not that different, cut out the new retention hooks, epoxy the old retention hooks in, and use the 05-11?

I too am extremely frustrated that WeatherTech doesn't have these available yet for the 2012 Tacoma. They have them for the 2012 Camry which also has the new retention system.

I'm considering Husky Liners just because they are available now. I had Husky liners in my last truck (Toyota) and they held up great. Wanted WeatherTech this time because it looks like they protect more area and IMO they look better.

I like both husky and the weathertech liners. My father in law had his husky liners in his 4runner for over 12 years and they are still going strong...I guess that goes to show how long those last lol.

here was my review, i see nobody searched ;)

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/product-reviews/193179-huskyliners-autoaccessoriesgarage-com.html

the passenger side doesnt have the little humps like the driver side does, i fixed that problem with a heat gun. I love them and wouldnt have any other floor mat.

edit: just looked at http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/187671-weathertec-mats-2012-taco-2.html it would appear that they have put the humps on the new mats, im guessing they didnt know about the change when i bought mine???

eh i love the three pedal!!! i can't seem to pay attention to the road when driving an automatic lol. although i must say...an automatic is pretty convenient when your trying to hold a beer in the other hand...just kidding.

Would anyone find it useful if I made a writeup on how to install the 2005-2011 Weathertech digital fits for the 2012 models by switching out the new retention hooks and putting in the older style retention hooks?

I am kind of diggin the way the Huskys does not have hole in them for the retention hooks. That should be better for snowy places?

I did some consulting work for Weathertech in 2011. Trust me their business is busting at the seams. They recently moved production in-house to their Chicago plant. I know they're going through growing pains.

I wasn't surprised when the Weathertech mats in my 09 6 speed didn't fit well. The clutch pedal catches the floor mat and the only way to shift was to engage the pedal 50%. Needless to say I got a great deal on the floor mats. Instead of returning them I snipped a small cutout where the clutch pedal catches the mat.

    Problem solved.

the weathertechs go up higher behind the gas/brake pedals. and i'm pretty sure they overlap the door sill a little bit further... they also go up further on the side providing greater protection (to the right of the the drivers foot/leg).
