You wouldn't be disappointed. I take being able to enjoy slinging .22lr is like being comfortable in your man hood. I own enough big boomers and have shot enough wrist snappers and shoulder kickers to know that I don't need them to enjoy myself. Listen to how quiet this is

I just think it will be a good time all together.

    Just getting started.
What do you guys know about the Beowolf .50 cal? I seen a complete upper at Cabelas for $750, was wondering if it is worth it. Does anybody have any actual experience with it?

I have essentially my own range...i can shoot pretty much whatever I want whenever I want...but there are many days when I just want to go out and play around and pop off rounds, and there are days when i'd like the neighbors to know when im shooting, and days when i'd like them to NOT know im shooting

I'm quite comfortable in my manhood and dont mind shooting a .22 :D

Financially it makes more sense to me to buy 1000 rounds of .22 and go pop those off thru my sig 522 than to buy 1000 5.56 or .223 and shoot my ar...the platforms are similar enough that the muscle memory sticks, and it allows me to further my training without killing my bank account...i already hurt that enough with my pistol ammo

We have a lot of agriculture in our county which has seen suburbia grow up around it. One of the most popular applications for .22LR suppressors around here is for the farmer. He can shoot a snake without having the neightbors call the police.

Any reason why you'd buy a complete 22 upper and not just a 22 conversion kit?

How easy is it to swap in-between 5.56 and .22 if I wanted to switch? Can it be done fairly quickly?

    Forever sideways and smiling :D
As easy as changing the BCG and using an appropriate magazine. Or you could have your own dedicated upper for each if you wanted to drop the coin.

130 for a BCG and a magazine or 350 for a complete upper.

the barrel twist for .22lr is usually 1/16

the barrel twist for 5.56/.223 is either 1/7, 1/8, or 1/9

so with the BCG conversion you wont get as good of acuracy as you would from a dedicated upper.

also if your gonna drop 350 on a .22lr upper you could spend 100 more dollars and get the S&W MP15-22

it all depends on how much you wanna spend/how accurate you care to have your rifle

I am new to the AR world and looking for advise on what i should get for my first setup. :)

I have done a little research and think i want a 16 inch mid length rifle.

My budget is around 1,000-1,500 for the rifle w/o optics.

Any direction on what brand to look at and stay away from for my price would be nice.

    TIA
