best and cleanest way of doing this, so much neater and just as easy as the option most people opt for, sure made it a breeze with installation

but F*** our fuse box, man splitting that was a pain and than putting it back together

Just did mine, had problems with getting connector out also. Standing on the drivers side looking at the fuse box you have to insert something very small between the bottom side of the connector and the housing to get the pin released. I used a scribe but I think a zip tie would work to. Awesome write up. Very clean and somewhat easy! Good job carbine

Have you tried toothpicks? That's what I did with mine; I took a toothpick and jammed it in the opening until the "hook" wasn't grabbing anything any more. Repeat on wach hole (leave the toothpicks in place) and you should be able to pull it up with a little tug.

Yea I tried the thin end of some zip ties but maybe they were too think.
But Caribe, you say just pull, no need for tooth picks or zip ties? Maybe I am just over thinking/doing it and making it harder... Il try both later when I get off work. Thanks for the feedback!

Just did this mod today and it was worth it for sure! I've been putting it off for a long time.

One thing that I found useful was to insert zip ties into the seven clips that hold in the fuse panel so I was able to shimmy and shake the panel upwards.

I redid this mod and moved the pin to another slot, the lights still come on after about six hours then stay on for a couple minutes. Ate there any slots that do not do this?

Mine do the same thing and I also did this modification. I am not sure what it is caused by but it could be:
The only way to stop it without trying a different method completely is to simply turn the fog light switch off when you get out of the truck. If the switch is off, the lights will not come on randomly. Check out the link below.

Same here, the very first post is blank. Sounds like people are having problems with the fog lights turning on randomly with the truck off with this mod anyways.
