Just a litlle info for my fellow Dbl Cab owners before I ask a question..... Did you kno that a 2nd gen dbl cab has 13!!! cup holders??? WHY??? I think the stick shift has 15.... Anyways just a little info. But does anyone know if the maintenance required light comes on at a certain mileage? My truck has been kept up to date with an every 3000 mile check up but I was wondering if that light is timed to come on just so the dealer can get a little extra cash? Anyways I turned it off (just hold down the trip and turn ignition off) but I was jw what you guys thought. Thnx

It starts blinking every 4,000 miles and comes on solid shortly after. It is just to remind you of oil change intervals, nothing more!

I have a Standard and I only recall 13 cupholders. 2 in each door, 2 in the console at the rear seat and 3 in the front console. Where do you say the other 2 are?

I just thought the manuals might have 2 more at the shifter for some reason.. Maybe I'm wrong. Mine is automatic.

i often use the ones in the doors when offroad, a 20oz bottle wont rattle around in the door at all. but use the ones by the shifter for daily use.

technically they aren't all cup holders, I know in my truck most of them have a stencil or sticker saying "capped bottle only"

I do wish the engineers spent a few more minutes figuring out something usable for that space other then what they did

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
I was told by a Ford mechanic that the Ranger was set to turn the maitenance required light on at 50,000 miles regardless of what you've done while you've owned it.

It's all in my head at the moment...
I wish the cupholder on the center console of my DB cab would hold a twenty once bottle so it rests all the way in. It makes it past the bottom inch of the bottle and then that's it. They must not have 20 once bottles in Toyota's R&D vending machines.

I do like the removable divider in the forward cupholders under where the center stack is. You can completely remove it or position it left or right depending on the size of your container. I call it a "French Fry" holder. With the divider shifted to the far right, Mickie D's large fry box fits nicely.
