I was in a 97 4runner that met a tragic fate at the hands of a collision. Lost job 2 weeks earlier, truck totaled, frame crushed in, foot fractured, airbags never deployed 11k in damages to the other car, all around THE WORST DAY EVER... all that's cleared up, kept the grille around and scribbled "There's a lot to be said for instant gratification" on it.

I stumbled across the briar patch of options for 3rd Gen 4runners in the universe while my new deckplate sat on my desk taunting me that it wasn't installed when this showed up...

I wasn't even looking for it when I found it, took a look after I had been looking at shitty rustbucket 4runners for 3 months. It was immaculate, well loved, and most importantly for it's generation rust free.

    Pros-
    -TRD Off-Road Package
-SR5 (YEAAA SHITTY DASH CLOCK TIME!)
-Had tons of the dealer extra's with the security system and what not.
    -New Pioneer audio system
-Tires have over 70% tread left
    -Rock Deflector
    -Soft Roll Up Tonneau Cover
    -Sun Roof
    -Bed Liner
    -Under 100k miles
    -Rear Diff Lock
-All Oil Changes for a year free
    -5 year powertrain warranty
-Randomly got an MP3 player for free too
-Radiant Red, my all time favorite color from toyota that got discontinued in 06 if I remember right.
    -Mud flaps
    -2 key fobs

    Cons-
-If I left the truck unlocked and come back to put something behind the seat and jiggle the wheel ever so, she starts honking at me like crazy.
-Beeps at me if I walk away without locking her.
    -THAT DASH CLOCK WHY?!
-Cant figure out how to set clock on pioneer deck
-Rubber place holders in cup holders broke off.

All in all, very much a fuck yea experience.

    Not Fancy Mods in mind:
    Silverlight headlights
Some kind of not break the bank good looking off-road tires (love suggestions)

    Somewhat Effort Enducing Mods:
    Small Light Bar
    New Skid Plate
Check for undercoating, if none, add some.

    Tax Return Mods:
    Direct Flow Exhaust
    Pro-comp rims and or tires
Can't do till the powertrain warranty is long since passed:
    Deckplate

    EDIT:

Better Pictures To Come, only had it for 20 hours
