2008 Tacoma: Roof Terperature/Compass Console Failure

My electronic Terperature/Compass display is dead.

Before I begin looking for parts I would like to identify the part needing replacement, so I have a couple of questions.

Q1)Would anyone tell me which parts I need to buy: some internal piece of electronics or the entire console? What will be the part numbers?

Q2)Would the parts from 2005 Tacoma interchangeable with the 2008 model?

 

why you want to replace your unit? If is stopped working, take a look at this. It fixed my probelm and didn't cost a cent.

Have you checked fuses yet? Maybe a bad power connection in the unit? Just a thought

i did this exact same thing. all said and done took about 30 min and a little solder wire
