    Yeah....it had been a few months since I got it washed and I just don't like leaving the winter grime on it. Oh well....it was clean for a good 12 hours....

    Back to cold and snow for another month or so. Actually March is usually nice enough for some outdoor recreation...sunny blue sky days with snow still around makes for some nice scenery.

    I try to wash mine every week or every other week just to get the salt and grime off of it. It only stays clean for a day or 2. It either gets warm so the snow melts and makes a mess of the roads or it rains or snows.

    When I bought my Tacoma I had the dealer equip it with Package 51. You see the package in commercials all the time when the car is driven through wet streets and mud and never has any dirt on the car as it is shown in the situations with rain and mud. A very worthwhile package to purchase. :cool:




    :woot::woot: For quality time with the grand kids. Sounded like a great trip overall for everyone.



    On a sad note, to me, I owe taxes to both Maryland and the Feds. I need to make some money really fast or hit up the mattress fund for the cash.

    I thought about calling my coworker to see if he would have given me a ride to work and then my truck could have stayed in the garage. I figured he would just laugh at me and hang up the phone though :(

    I try to keep it clean since 1st gens are prone to rust issues. Its not a huge problem out here but I want to be proactive.

    Bummer on the taxes, hope its not too painful of a payment to make.

    Since you're our 'make things shiny' expert...what do you recommend to get paint scuffs from door dings off of my truck? I did claybar a while back and it lightened the marks but didn't get rid of them completely.

    For the scuffs you will beed to buff them out with a decent polishing compound. If you have a buffer I can send you some polishing compounds.

    For the dings PDR, Paintless Dent Removal, is really the way to go. Finding a decent PDR person out your way may be hard. I will look and see what I can find.

    As for the taxes I was expecting a lot worse.
