I've already cut mine back about an inch but they still rub when the tires get stuffed. I know some of you guys are running 35's and i'm interested in seeing what ya'll have done to that area. I want to cut mine off around the bushing and shore up the area with a plate welded around the cut off area. Yes I searched your forum and there isn't many pics of final results. As always thanks for the help! :)

Also after you've cut the mount have you noticed the bolt getting loose at all? I just torqued mine and they were at about 10 FT lbs on each side before I did it

Thats odd.. Maybe i should check mine, i wouldnt think cutting it would cause them to get loose.. I cut quite a bit off mine but havent stuff my tires and turned to see if it will rub....

Yeah I want to cut up to about 1/4 from around the ring then weld a plate to seal it up. I'm going to see how much I can hammer the pinch weld back tomorrow. I want it to look clean though. Thanks for the pic :)

yeah i cleaned up my cab mount after this pic and i like how my pich weld turned out, but a welded plate is a must for any reasonable offroading

    AH HA! found some

Here is before the 2" clearanced flares. I think I ground the top of it, near the inner fender, down slightly more after installing the KM2's.

Yeah being a 1st gen i don't have cab issues but I've done about 10 2nd gens now & this cut seems to be the ticket for a 2.5" lift , running 33"'s (285's) with little to no rubbing....

Here's KTMRiders, which is similar to how mine is. (Done by the same guy.) We're both running 33" tires.
