What mods did you have to do to the wiring kit? Are you referring to the connectors not plugging into any of the factory power sources?

I have a Toyota switch kit on order.

It was a pain to get the cover to stay behind that panel in the center console lid. Ended up using the handle of some finger nail clippers(the rounded edge) to tuck it in then screw the panel all the way tight.

I used a couple of carriage bolts, washers, and nuts to mount mine. Worked like a charm. Just find a bolt where the head fits in the cleat channel, grind a washer down to fit in there too, put a washer on the outside of the track and tighten with a nut. Then add another washer, the ammo can, another washer and a nut. All done. If this is confusing I'll add a photo when I get home.

Where did you get the Toyota Logo/Symbol on the front of your grille and how did you attach. I'm looking to do something similar?

Yea basically this, I used 3 carriage bolts, 2 on the side and one on the back with washers that I cut to fit in the rail. I used J-B Weld to glue the cut washers and carriage bolts together so that when I tightened the nut it wouldn't just spin around. So basically it is bolt\cut washer, then rubber sealing washer, ammo box, rubber sealing washer, nut. I used this thread to guide me: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/171574-bed-rail-ammo-can.html

I just ordered it through the toyota dealership. About $40 I think. I don't remember the part number off the top of my head but I think a quick search should find it on this forum pretty quick (thats where I found it).

I pre-drilled some pilot holes and then attached it using metal screws into little plastic washer-type discs that are meant to grab a screws threads. Not sure what they are called. To be honest though I think soon I am just going to swap them out for something the screws can really get some purchase in. A little plastic block or some such.

Oh and you have to cut off the original mounting bits on the logo to get it to lay flat against the mesh. I know some people don't do that. Just up to you and the look you want.
