haha spring break man! the front lift goes in next monday, the rear next wednesday (gf wants to help LOL:D), tires a week after that, then sliders hopefully a week after that. i pray my friend aleks can go, itll give me some company save me 200 bucks on the trip cost and i can put that into protecting my body and rockers lol. if he goes i should have no problem paying for sliders since i can pay for the whole trip cost with the 2 weeks in may i work before moab. those 2 weeks are also finals, so FUUUUUUUUUUUUU its going to be hella busy. we need to start planning our camping gear and camp plans now while im not that busy. as the end of the semester approaches its going to get more and more hectic.

and i realized today how badly i need new tires. i was in 4wd of course and was sliding quite a bit around turns. i have ZERO size bite, and whatever tread i do have does a piss poor job at getting much snow traction.

i know how to drive in the snow:cool: and that is complete garbage saying 4x4 doesent make you better off in the snow once you get moving. you take the same truck up the same road twice and use 4wd once and 2wd once and the trip with 4x4 will drive MUCH better. also i have found a case where 4x4 DOES help you stop...a la engine breaking!
thats what i was talking about going around turns.
when the snow is caked and packed on the road it doesent just push out of the way lol

i dont see how that makes any sense. packed snow is still packed snow and your tires can dig into it somewhat...ice is just ice. a solid surface with little to no bite. unless the packed snow turns to ice...in which it is ice

I'm jealous. I must live too close to Utah or something (they are horrible drivers in case you didn't know) because everyone around here still drives 5 to 10 over the speed limit no matter what the roads look like... Scares the hell out of me sometimes. I always feel like I am going to get rear ended.
This guy flipped his ranger in front of me on the freeway back in december. The road was a solid sheet of ice (I almost couldn't walk on it) and he passed me doing about 75. Didn't take long and the back tires tried to outrun the front (either its only 2wd or he wasn't in 4wd I'm guesssing, can't quite tell in the pic). He fished sideways into the median then corrected and just as the front wheels came back onto the freeway it rolled 4 times, stopping on its top after sliding 100 ft or so. He was alright except for a sore shoulder and a blackeye. I drove like 45 after that. haha. There were 4 more wrecks all right there. Oh this was on I-15 just a few miles south of the Id-Ut border heading south. When I finally got back on the road I saw at least 10 more wrecks/slide offs over the next 10 miles. It was ridiculous.
