New 2000 Tacoma, Reg Cab, 4cyl, 5spd, 4x4 owner. OK, I know this will not sit well with others here but I just want to keep my Tacoma stock to maybe a slight lift. I have 144k miles and these are original shocks so I know they need upgraded. I have read about putting the Bilstein 5100 shocks in the front with an adjustable height feature, that is good with me. So what shock do you put in the rear to match the lift from the 5100 in the front say for a 1" lift? .......... Blocks, New Leafs and what shocks are spec'd for this?

For the rear get a pair of 5100s for the shocks. The set of 4 5100s with front struts and rear shocks from Downsouth Motorsports is a great deal and they give a TW discount. For rear lift your cheapest option would be an add a leaf, but you might sit close enough to level to not need a rear lift.

It sits just fine. This site isn't just for lifts and 4x4. We each do what suits our own needs.:)

5100's in the rear if you are lifting the rear. If you leave the rear stock, then 5125's in back and 5100's up front

DSM is definitely the place from which to buy your Bilstein shocks. Depending on the condition of your stock leaf springs, you MAY need to consider than just an AAL to get back to stock height.

Thanks, the 5100s up front and 5125s rear was what I was looking for. It sits pretty level now so that should really improve my ride along with new tires and stock rims.
