Who has a 6spd Supercharged?

Hey,

Im been trying to search google and have tried a bit on this forum and a few other but no luck as of yet,

So im just wondering how many people with 6spd manual transmission super charge there trucks? I have seen many videos of automatic's supercharged and they haul ass just stepping in it, so i was wondering if you have a supercharged manual transmission, how do you like it? and if you want to floor it at what RPM's are you shifting at?

Haha yeah I have to wait till they come out with one for the 2012, and i would like to pay most of my truck of first but im still interested in how it would drive on a M/T truck

 

I have one, as does WRMATHIS.
I like it, though shifting all the time in the traffic we have out here blows.
Might just be me, but I feel power start building a little at 3k and really spike up in the 4-5 range. If I am trying to go fast, I am shifting around 4.5k, and my gas milage suffers horridly.
I like the manual transmission, but if I were to do it all over again, I would probably just get the auto. With as much as I sit in traffic with all these retards that fail to comprehend the act of merging, constant clutchwork gets old. Hope this helps.

I have a TRD offroad Supercharged 4.0 manual as well...

Its a dream to drive. I have a fairly short commute so i never get to exercise the S/C. However when I drove across the US it was a great experience.

With my foot barely resting on the pedal I easily do 70...

 

i have one witht he 6 spd and i would with out a doubt have gone with a auto instead. i have taken my to the track with 33's all pro front bumper, ATO Replacement bumper and ATO front skid and managed a 15.1 in the quarter mile. my shitty as shifting didnt help but i have a coupe shifter and im sure i could get alot lower if i dropped some weight. now, with out the supercharger and everything else being equal, i ran a 16.2

 

Traffic is not a hard thing for me, i currently never have to drive rush hour as i work away from home so my days off is the only time i drive it and i just avoid it as i dont have to be anywhere, i know gas will suffer if i am having fun with it but if im driving normaly or doing highway driving it should do just fine (for being S/C)

 

Thats an awsome write up, im 99% positive im going to get it isntalled so it stays under warrenty as i will probably be getting it before im done paying for truck and before the trucks warrenty is up.

6spd. S/C'd here. I love mine havent had any issues so far. Depends on my driving style if im just cruzing around ill shift around 2500-2800rpms. If im doing some spirited on ramp accelerating I usually shift around 4500-4800rpms.

 

Awsome guys im willing to spend the money more and more haha once it comes out i will be right on that shit, im so stoked for it, i think they sound super bad ass.

 

Well dude, I can say without any reservation, that my supercharger makes me smile. "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." The manual transmission at times, though smooth shifting after modding the crap out of it, does become a pain in the ass in certain traffic situations. You can't go wrong getting one, even if you have to sell certain bodily fluids for a while....

 

my 98 T100 is a 5spd supercharged, if i romp on it in first at any speed i lose traction, and im slinging 35's with stock gears and a detroit tru trax. if its wet at all its the same story almost all the way thru 3rd

 

Haha yeah im going to probably be doing a MBRP exhaust and a AFE drop in pro dry here soon, then the Super charger when it comes out, thinking about the TRD or the URD quick shifter if i am getting suppercharged so i can get quicker shifts, i will have to figure out what other performance things i want to do to it haha, but other then the exhaust and filter i wont be doing much other then pay it off till the Super charger comes out.

Haha im considering a rear locker, but something tells me if im S/C'd that when its wet or snowing that i will need to roll in 4by unless im looking to slide haha

haha thanks. yeah i totally recommend a locker or something like the tru trax, and with the tacoma's you'll want to disable the VSC im sure. ive got a vid somewhere on the ice doing donuts in the T100 in a perfect circle, as in the center of the truck rotates on a fix axis as all 4 tires sling it around like a merry-go-round lol ill look for it

oh and how do you like your husky liners? im thinking about getting some as the ones i got with it winter an summer ones dont cover everything, and what is the benefit to taking out the second air filter?
