Custom sliders, Bilstien 5100s in front - 5100's + AAL + TSB in rear, dif drop, LED's in scoop, CB installed in console, flashlight mount, window tint, locking compartment in bed.
I took my '11 dbcb Sport from stock to Bilstien 5100's (set at 1.75) in the front and Bilstiens (long) + AAL over the weekend. Had it alligned right away. I am experiencing some vibrations as lower RPMs and speeds that weren't there before. Tires and wheels are the same.

So many of you have done the same lift.... did you have these vibrations too? Would a dif drop help? Bad allignment job maybe?

I would love to hear your experiences and thoughts.

Make sure everything is tight first and foremost. After that, we can't figure it out for your over a forum. You will get a dozen different ideas of what it *could* be. Take it back to the shop where you got it done.

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
When you say you are experiencing some vibrations as lower RPMs and speeds is it in the steering wheel? Do you see it in the mirror? Does it change with the pavement like from asphalt to concrete? It may be that the 5100 is just a stiffer shock and reflects it at the lower speeds. I felt it when I changed but I did a stiffer spring and did an AAL and noticed it at slow speed. Not saying you may not have a problem but it also may be normal.

The vibration seems to be the whole truck. I have a small toolset behind the rear seat and I can hear the sockets rattle a little. It seems to be there on a well paved road too. Its most apparent at 15-20 mph. thanks for the input.

I was thinking the same thing but I figured I would check with TW first since its such a common lift. I got a lifetime allignment from Firestone Auto so I will just take it back this weekend I think.

I put my fronts at 1.75. In the rear I have the longer Billies from DSM + a AAL from Wheelers + the TSB leaf pack. I ride about an inch higher in the back, but It doenst bother me a ton. Looks like you put your all the way on the front. Are you riding level then? Where did you get your diff drop and shims from in case the allignment comes back clean and I need to do this?

OP the dreaded vibes at 20mph pretty common seems the Taco is very sensitive to any driveline angle change, have you tried to flip the carrier bearing? Take you a couple minutes and it might help, and yes that was a lot of work but now we have some pretty definitive solutions for the annoying vibes a lot of us are experiencing.

From reading your thread, it does sound like a few others are seeing success or trying it to see if it fixes their issue. Its awesome that you posted all that information and have found a solution for some of the trucks with this problem.

So, with all that you have invested in this, i have another question: other than it being annoying as hell, this vibe isnt wearing anything prematurely or causing trouble right? If I am crazy lucky and the alignment just needs some more tweaking I should rule that out because it will wear on tires, joints etc. But if its just DS vibration, it doesnt have the same damaging effect as misalignment right?

got mine from toytec, the diff drop kit was $30, even if that isn't vibrating, i think its still well worth the $30 to prolong the life of your cv axles and boots. it takes literally 5 minutes at the most to install.

and i think the shims were like $20. they require you to disassemble the leaf pack and bolt them in with the center pin (or at least mine did) so it takes a little while.

but my truck sits about level at 2.5, still maybe 1/2" higher in the back. although my aal was a 2", not a 1.5. I'm always hauling something around so i don't mind it sitting a little higher in the back

edit: just read you have the tsb pack, so yours probably sits higher than mine, i have the non-tsb

I had the alignment checked.. its dead straight.

I installed the ToyTec dif drop kit yesterday morning but the vib is still there.

I was screwing around in a parking lot and noticed that I get a "pop" when turned all the way to the pasenger and rolling at idle. I dont get the same sound when turned all the way to the driver side. It seems I have a tighter turning radius turned to pasenger and the CV might be binding.

    Anyone have thought on that?
