Can I use the GL-5 stuff in my 05 4x4? I read that the Amsoil is to slick, and I should get some Redline MT-90.

Is the Amsoil 75w-90 extreme gear bad for my tranny and the front, rear, and differential case? What if I get the Amsoil Manual tranny stuff @ GL4 and the rest GL5.

I haul a small boat from time to time so should I go all GL 4? Clueless, please help.

I was thinking I would buy enough and do everything, I am at 133k miles.

    Thanks

Go GL4 for the tranny and do the rest GL5. AMSoil is good stuff, dont see any reason why it would be bad for anything as long as you put the right fluid in the right spot.

And yes you have a TRD sport model, LSD additive in the rear. Doesn't matter if its 4x4 or 4x2

I was/am confused so I called Amsoil tech line and he said that I would need:

    The front diff
    the transfer case
the rear diff (and he said it has something added to it for locking diffs --- does that sound right?)

    Thanks!

I decided to get the Redline MT90 for the tranny instead of the amsoil gl-4 for this time.

Hes right on the money. Redline actually makes an LSD fluid that you might want to look into. This link should help too.
