    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
Hey guys! After selling my old 1994 Toyota Pickup back in 1996, I've been missing having a truck since then! January of 2012, I found this absolute gem of a Tacoma that I couldn't pass up on. All smiles since then! Hope you all enjoy my build!

UPDATE 8/23/12: NEW UPDATED PICS!! [POST #196]

    Matt's 1995.5 white Xtracab Tacoma V6 4x4 [5-speed]
    Clean & Mean.

    Thanks Kenny!

Loving my velocity stack mod, it sounds awesome and performs even better. One of the best budget mods you can do to your Tacoma FOR SURE. I highly recommend the Airaid intake tube in combination. Adds a throatier sound and provides a smoother path for the intake vs the OEM tube.

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
WOW, man that IS one clean truck! gives me some hope for my truck. Mine came from west texas, and I know that is what saved the frame, it almost looks new, but to get to it I have been under it (depending on weather here) every free weekend i can get. I even used a hand brush with a bucket and dawn and warm water and scrubbed to get the build up of hard red dust off.
but seeing yours gives me hope of what can be done.

Thanks man! I LOVE my 1st YEAR, 1st GEN Tacoma! There is PLENTY hope for yours man just keep at it! These trucks are real gems with just a little lovin. Nothing beats the 95-97 front ends!! I was a initially worried about the condition of the frame because the original owner of the truck bought it brand new in Hawaii(aka SURROUNDED BY SALTY AIR).

As it turns out, the red dirt in Hawaii sorta stained the frame, as it so famously does with ANYTHING it touches lol. I am apparently the 2nd California owner of this Tacoma and probably the most OCD owner it's ever had haha.

Needless to say, I gave the engine bay, frame, wheel wells, and the rest of the underbody some lovin since buying it in January. I used to detail cars as a side job in college so you can imagine the work I put in to getting the frame all nice and almost BRAND NEW looking. Here's a few pics of the frame and wheel wells after a good detailing i did on it a few weeks ago:

How easy were the fender flares to install? I've got a 96 and the tires stick out a little...wondering when the law enforcement are going to start giving me crap about it. Also the flares look sick! How's the fitment too?

EDIT: Are those the .75" or 1.5" flares and are they the cut out or the extendaflare?

    Thanks!

Flares were a cinch to install! ;) These are the 1.5" Extend-a-fender Bushwackers. Basically, the ones right under the Cut-out bushwackers.

Fitment is spot on, even with the substantial Line-X coating. If you have the ugly factory "chrOme-E-M" fenders[lol] that I had on my 95, it the Bushwackers use all existing holes. You will only need to drill out holes on the Bushwacker fenders, not your body. They even make indentations on the fenders to show you exactly what holes to drill. Once you install one, you'll fly on the remaining 3 fenders.

If you put any coat on them, I suggest you do them while they are off the truck.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
After going big on midtravel, I wanna slap myself for ever using a spacer lift.

The ride is MUCH smoother, and the truck just laughs at me going through the rough stuff now. It begs me to floor it. Lol. The more gas I give on the whoops, the smoother it gets. WEIRDEST feeling ever!

I also deleted my sway bar so the front can have full range to do it's thing with the Icons in.

Putting an Auburn Pro Series posi on the rear end this week, can't wait!
