any idea on how too reienforce the allpoo bumper for winching? i dont feel comfortable with those 6 little screws holding my shit in place...lol....i moved the bumper just by bouncing on a few rocks

My wife just rolls her eyes at this point when the conversation turns to Tacomas.
From cutting for the snorkel, the Elite front, and then hacking off bedsides for the rear CBI HC, it has gone beyond reasonable.
Next I'm kissing the rear shackle hangers goodbye for a prototype Shackle flip kit.
The cutting never ends...

 

you're tellin me. my cutting muscles are gonna get quite the workout in the next few months. gonna be building rear long travel and making it work without fiberglass bedsides.

 

I'm as curious about the turnout as you are

making a bracing strap from the bumber to the frame like the CBI one is easy. you can make one out of 1/4'' plate with just a sawzall, grinder, and drill. no welder needed.

you can see it in this picture. it does require a bend or two, but with a 4lb sledge and a vice, bending 1/4'' is a walk in the park.



if you want, i could make you a set, but i probably couldn't get them to you untill about midway through the summer.
