Fix rear glass - 2007 Tacoma

Hola. The dealership quoted me over $800 for parts, excluding install, to replace the rear sliding glass in my 2007 Tacoma. Someone's head collided with the middle beam and busted the glass and beam.

Does anyone know of a better route to go to replace the entire rear glass setup?

Any local auto glass installer. My fiances winshield got busted and www.safelite.com quoted me at $520 for windshield replacement. I got another local quote for $30 less than that. They also do rear windows, and I imagine it will be much less than the dealership price.

 

Safelite wants 685, for rear slider in my area.

 

I found them online for around $200. That may be the best route, then have some company install it.

 

Go for power up/down window like the old 4Runners... I'd love to see this done and you have the perfect candidate!

 

You may find that some company will not install unless it is their product due to liability issues.
