damn, i just ordered one like 2 months ago, and thought a group buy would have been hopeless, love the ultragauge though, very accurate after calibrate it

 

Quick heads up, UG and I are coordinating on lists.

They should begin refunds starting this week, but may not complete all until the weekend, slightly longer than orginally thought.

So far mine is running about 1 mpg more than my norm. I may have to do this. But I thought you only had to calibrate for over sized tires? Mine aren't stock but are the stock size for the off road. Does anyone know if the Sport and off roads are calibrated differently? The overall tire size is very close between the 16's and 17's, although mine did turn out to be taller than the norm, about an inch taller than my stock dunlops were.

 

16's/17's are the rim size, not tire.

But regardless, I would calibrate it. Doesn't matter what tire size, calibrate that thing & you'll know it's accurate .

 

I know the rim size doesn't matter, what I was saying is that my new wheels/tires even though they are the stock size for the 16 inch wheel/tire package, the tires are actually a bit taller than the factory 17 inch wheel/tire combo that came on my truck. That is where I was wondering if the off road and sport packages were calibrated the same? According to the tire size calculator there is barely and difference in the two so I'm guessing not. But mine are taller then the tire size calculator indicated. I know all tire manufacturers do not have the tire sizes exact.

I got my ug today ordered it in friday 4/20 . It works, but it got my abs flashing, I read what to do the force protocol but once I restart it the problem comes back , Ill mess with it tomorrow. Any ideas , id appreciate them. On first gen taco v6

 

There's a write up somewhere about removing two pins on either your truck or the ultarguage. Some ppl get a obd2 plug extension and remove the pins from that

 

My speedo was off from the factory like a lot are. Putting on 265/75/16 made the speedo read accurate per two separate GPS enabled devices. Now the UG is showing 2mph lower than I'm going(whereas from the factory I was reading high).

 

This is a well-documented issue, both here in TW and in the UltraGauge Knowledgebase.

Also pretty well documented a number of times. One of the better references is located here. (I have an appropriately modified ODB2 extension cable that I no longer use, if you're interested in it, Dcpsychobilly?)

Yeah I need to take time to read the manual. There is a lot I need to learn about this thing. Just been unusually busy.

Basically wedged the UG up and zip tied it.

 

How does it hold up? Does it move around a lot?

 

Nah Jeryck, its actually pretty solid once you tighten the zip tie. Obviously there is some play, but it's minimal and the UG is very light so it seems to be working no problem.

 

might have to try this when I get mine
