    hey guys i need a little help. last night when i pulled out of walmart i started hearing this grinding and clunking noise coming from the front of the truck around the front left wheel. it only if im stearing left or right or going slow straight.
    now im not retarded and i limped it to my garage and check the tire and wheel,the wheel spacers, stearing arm, CV shaft, brake and rotor. it is all fine and dandy from what i checked so now im in a rut.:confused:
    i was thinking maybe it could be wheel bearings? also i might be crazy but it felt like my brakes were softer too.:confused:

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    First, to check your wheel bearing, lift the truck and grab the tire. One hand on the top and one on the bottom. Try pushing the top while you pull the bottom, violently. If you have any movement, then you need a new bearing.

    If that isn't it, look at your CV boots. If they are ripped, well you know what is next.

    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    If it wasn't lifted I would say wheel bearing no questions asked. But the lift makes the cv boot very likely. I'm still gonna say wheel bearing though. Best of luck to you.

    yeah i have a six inch procomp and i checked my cv boots and didnt have any slack. since my trucks a 2006 and only has 19000 miles on it think its still under warranty?

    Sorry, Buddy. I was working. :( Along with checking your wheel bearings, check your upper ball joint. You may have to disco it from the spindle. Check to make sure its tight, and not loose. It could cause the "clunking sound".
