3" LIFT, WHICH IS BEST

Ive been researching 3" lifts for my taco for some time. Just looking for some knowledgeable opinions as to whats good. Ive gone to shops around here getting prices and basically keep getting the same two brands. Fabtech and Icon. I know Icon is tops but wondering if theres anything comparable.

I liked the ride with my bilstein 5100 shocks @1.75'' and eibach lift coils. giving almost 3''

 

Icon is the top for mid travel. Second is ome springs with 5100s

 

I got 5100's and 885's and love it, but I'd just as soon go with the full OME set-up.

OME for something budget friendly. Icon if you really want the "tops" or just want to go mid-travel.

Personally I will be going OME again once I get my new truck.

What am i missing here. isn't this going to leave the truck sitting higher in the rear. I would want to end up level or close to it ????

 

The 885 coils will put you higher than 1.75" up front, probably closer to 2.5" based on the measurements people have posted up. Also depends on the vehicle, I4 vs. V6, Double cab vs. Access cab.

 

Depending on how much money you're up to spending, Icon is good but better solutions are a set of King replacement coilovers front and smooth bodies in the rear with a wheelers progressive 3 leaf pack. this will provide 2.25-3" overall lift

If your just wanting to lift the truck for appearance rather then offroad upgrade then a simple spacer lift will do and much cheaper.

Like Mike said you'll get more. On my 4Banger AC 885s got me 3" of lift & on OZ-T's V6 DCLB he got 2 1/2". The Dakars got me 3" of lift with a shell on back and people have gotten more without a shell. So I went up 3" front & rear.
