Slammed Pickups... WHY?

slammed trucks are stupid. i hate them. so stupid. all of you are stupid. stupids.

 

I've been watching the show "duck dynasty" I'm completely enthralled. I enjoy their views on everything lol

I like them both, but I prefer a 4x4 stock or with a small lift, nothing too crazy. I've had a lowered Nissan Hardbody. It was fun but rode like $h*t. I've had a lifted Ford Ranger and had way more fun with it. So I prefer an off road truck. Either way I can't imagine not having a truck though.

 

I dont really see on why people hate on other types of trucks.. Why does it bother you? Your not driving it? To each, his own.

But, I'll be pissed if I have a slammed pickup in front of me is entering a speed bump by crawling one wheel over, then the rear one along with the "other" front one, and finally exiting the damn bump with the "last" rear wheel... I'll seriously be pissed.

Its easier for the shorter people to get in and out of a slammed truck and easier to load things like lawnmowers and weed whackers and trash cans full of grass and such in the back.

Also speed bumps can damage suspension if rode over too fast so they lower them down so they can go the drivers interpretation of the proper speed over them.. one wheel at a time.

Maybe its the taco trucks that I've been hitting up lately that I keep ending up behind them all the time

 

my last taco was a slammed 98 single cab dropped 4.5 in front 6 in back.. i was tucking tire. it drove like a go kart but those damn speed bumps.. bane of my existence.

had it for 3 years.

they I wised up and bought another 4x4 and sold the mini..

 

Not sure if it's just me. But the new speed bumps being put up now are just brutal.

There is a newer member in Florida who is rebuilding a truck of this "slammed" style.

While these builds are not my personal style or preference I have to acknowledge the skill & patience that goes into these lowered creations.

If you're running bags, then life is much easier. But f***, if you're just slammed on springs... driving through cities like Oakland and SF will be just like offroading for you.
