271,xxx miles and the only things that have been replaced were the universal joint and the starter. might need a new timing belt, but for a 15 year old truck, i'd have to say that's pretty good.

2001 Sienna - 220,000...but the valve cover and oil pan are leaking. I hope it doesn't cost much to fix.

2001 Tacoma DC Prerunner - 141,000 and counting.

    2004 Solara 4cyl - 160k, but interior smells funny. A/C smell i think?

All are reliable, but the little things are bugging me. I'm hoping to someday hit at least 300,000 on all of them :)

In 2000 i bought a 98 Taco V6. I sold it at 150,000 miles to a lady nearby. I bump into her now and then. Last i saw her she has 220,000 miles on it. When i owned it I mostly put highway miles on it but also put it through the Toyota truck tests. Lippincott Road in Death Valley is one example of the terrain I would seek. She also is not kind on it. Living in South Central Montana there is plenty of Desert and mountain 2 track to be found.

Before I sold it, all I had ever done was change the oil regularly ( every 3,000) and replace the rear leaf springs once.

She has replaced the starter, alternator, clutch, and water pump.

Some of these motors ( 5VZFE ) have well over 300,000 miles on them now.

And if you are looking at 4 cylinders, well, I have an 85 with 310,000 original miles on it and have only replaced the alternator, clutch and more recently the clutch slave cylinder and water pump

at 276xxx and not one fuel pump... or anything actually. Bone stock, just brakes tires, plugs, filters and fluids. Needs belts, a little concerned about the timing belt.

I have been told that it was changed about 100k, at the normal maintenance interval, but no one is sure and there is no documentation. I had a friend who had is original timing belt replaced after 290k on his 03 v6 and it looked completely fine still.
When I have the money it will be changed.

usually the water pump starts leaking before the belt goes.
