    Hi guys,

Here we are, I jsut got last week my first Tacoma ever! In fact, this is my first truck!

A 2010 Double Cab SR5. Just great to drive ! Really enjoy it!

Actually, the truck came with a trifold tonneau cover. Wich I think isn't very usefull. I am looking to replace it with a roll up tonneau cover.

There is 2 models I was looking for

Truxedo Lo Pro QT or Access Roll up Lite Rider. I would like to have you guys your comments about these 2 brands!

One thing important : I don't know if these tonneau are compatible with the bed rail system. I do want a tonneau cover where I can use the actual bed rail system! It means that I want to have a full use of the Tie Down !

    Thank you for your help.

Can you use the entire bed rail system ?

Do you loose any charging space into your bed ?

I've had my Truxedo Lopro for almost 5 years and it's still in great shape. I forgot my truck even has the rail system. I added some front tie downs and only use the bed for strapping stuff down. Never trusted those plastic cleats.

i have the access roll up and like it a lot. i still have full use of the bed rails, which i do use all the time. my cover bolted up like this: bed, spacer, access rail, bed rail, then a bolt to hold it all together.

Wich model of access roll up do you have ?
Do you lost any space in your bed ?
Is it a low profile cover or your cover is higher than the top of the bed ?

I've got the truxedo lopro like most, and just like them I didn't mind losing the rail system because I would not trust that plastic holding my valuable motorcycles and dirtbikes up lol. But I love it, fast and easy to roll up, and still in great shape after a year and a half

I have the Access Roll Up tonneau cover and it allows the use of the bed cleats/rail system. My cover does rise above the bed but my understanding is that anything more low profile than that would prevent the cleats from being used with the rail system... although I came across a thread or post where a fellow TW member with a low profile cover modified his cleats by grinding them down and was still able to use them. I've tried to find the post and for the life of me can't find it?

When you decide on a cover check out Truck Alterations. When I was shopping they had the best price anywhere.

The regular Access Roll-up allows you to continue using the rail cleats. My understanding is the other models are lower profile and they will not clear. The cleats are 10x's as big as they need to be anyhow. Toyota needs to shrink the dang things.

Give me a shout, I'll quote you a price.

    Great! Thank you!

Did you have to remove the factory bed rail system before installing the access roll-up rail ? And after, you put back the factory bed rail ?

Yep. There are several good YouTube videos showing installations and here's a thread link that a member posted with lots of pic's to give you a better idea of the install. With the supplied instructions, videos, & the thread below installation was simple...
