I'd take it back. More than likely, the sensor was damaged during the install (if it's damaged) or removal of the tire.

That should be on the installer and they have to replace it, right?!?!?

I have the same problem, and it's for sure a malfunction if it blinks like that. But I got my tires mounted 8 months ago and was too lazy to go back and complain. Now I think it's too far back to even bring anything up. That's on me.

I want to see if there's a way to test the TPMS in each tire without going to the dealer. I know they have a tool to check it without having to take the tire off.

    Anyone know?

Electric tape over the dash light works just as well.

    LOL

well after reading the thread in its entirety, it looks like a pretty simple job. Justin did an excellent job with the write up.

In other news, I have all the parts for my brake job, but I think I'm going to wait for AP to send me the u-bolt and nuts and just do it all together. They said they should be shipping it out later this week (waiting on the nuts) :(

According to the chart, it should continue to blink if it's a problem with the sensor signal...shouldn't it? (Sean's is not blinking but going solid)

yeah mine's the same. blinks for a minute when the truck starts, then stays on after that. that means malfunction. But either way, the write up says, "For those of you that have damaged TPMS sensors or none at all and want to get rid of the tpms light on the dash" so I'm assuming it'll work

I'll probably try it out later this week and see what happens

Tires worked fine without TPMS sensors for the last 120 years.
Just be smart and check your pressure every once in a while.

I disabled the light in my tundra and the 4runner until i swapped the sensors.

Anyone have any suggestions on which extended brake lines to get? Toytec? Wheelers? AP? Or is it all the same, and whatever's the cheapest to my door? :D

Wheelers is just up the road, shipping can't be bad. Thats where I'd go personally, but I have no experience with them.
