The only way to be sure is to check your line when the axle is at full droop on the driver side. I didn't think I would need the line, but I was alarmed to see that line straight with no slack when I was working on the truck. I advise that you each check our own truck and not take anyone else's word for needing it or not.

I am thinking of running mine without the overload leafs, what do you guys think?

I currently have 1.25" shackles, and I don't want anymore than 2.5" or so of total lift. I never haul anything in my truck, except for my dirtbike once in a blue moon...but it's street legal, so it's rarely in the back of the truck :D

When I saw how tight mine was I figured a new line would be cheap now compared to having an issue later.

Dumb question...the number on the leafs, more specifically the L and the R...L means left side (driver), and R means right (passenger) side leafs, right?

And does anyone know what part numbers are for the left and right 5100's for the rear?

Yes L is driver and R is passenger. It's the L and R as if you were sitting in the truck.

Hmmm I'm going to have the exact same setup as you TIP...hopefully mine sits a little higher since my whole truck weighs like 3200 lbs. Can you get a picture of the rear where the shackles are? I can kinda see here, but I'm trying to get an idea how much they stick out....may just powder coat them black to try and hide them.

I ended up ordering 1" shackles for the pure fact that I didn't want the 2" ones to stick out.

Putting mine on tonight or tomorrow. Might not do anything with the front. Doesn't look like Anybodys getting more than 1" without shackles.

Just a heads up...paint won't stick to the galvanized finish on the shackles. Ask me how I know

I recently bought a set of icon AAL 's and thought I would just add to stock ones. My truck has always had bad rear sag plus I am about to put on a heavy rear IRON BULL REAR AND FRONT. also will beef up front shocks while at it.
My question is can I buy these leafs and also utilize my Icon Aal's as well for a bit more lift or are they compatible. The truck also has a 6" FABTECH lift with just blocks. Are Timbrens recommended. Also what is the difference between these leafs, old Man Emu and all pro with u bolt flip kit for adde height? Alot of questions I k ow but I paid like $200 for this AAL kit from ICON and wanna bring truck up to plane. I am a real novice, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
