Zach, my point is that if you are getting less miles but also putting in less gas, then your mpg is either scalable, worse, or better... based on your figures, you are getting 16mpg, not accounting for difference in tire size, so I'd say you are getting at least similar to us... so either the new engines are more efficient, or you drive like a raped ape.

Washing the truck won't make a difference. If you really want to get into it the small amount of turbulence that's created by the dirt will actually help you get better MPG, kind of like how a dimpled golfball ball less drag and a smooth ball of similar size.

It's 18.5, see here. Crazy you are getting 17 into it, my old Accord would hit the light at 12 gallons and it had a 15.6 gallon tank. I typically hit the light in this truck at 17-18, and it's a 21.1 gallon.

34 all around. I've noticed when the truck is off the fuel gauge sits well below the E. Is that where true empty puts its?

I got 16 mpg on the highway and 14.5 mpg mixed driving. If I'm offroading in the snow then I get about 6 mpg depending on how deep the snow, regular trial riding I get about 12 mpg. This is with 37s. I'm on 33s right now and i get the same as with 37s. I'm slightly over geared now and I think that's the reason.

I run the piss out of my light. I haven definitely come into a gas station literally puttering out a couple times. I'm happy with 240-250ish miles per tank. Really happy with 17mpg.

You probably do a little better than me due to the 4.56's. 4.88's take a few more rpm's to turn at speed.

A buddy at work has a X-runner with the TRD supercharger and he claims to get 24 MPG with cruise set at 70 on I5... I haven't seen this in person but shit that would be nice.

It will. It'll ride a little rough on side streets but for the trip it'll save you a little. I've jumped to about 50 before on long trips. Look at your side wall it should say max PSI. My KM2's say 65

So I am asking this question for a friend who wants opinion/help.

She drives a 2nd gen DC 4x4 and wants to lift it 2-3". She DOES NOT offroad, just wants it for looks. I figured that I would send her these options but was wondering what thoughts you had on what to narrow them down.
