Thanks man. Trying to get a few things going here between now and the end of the year. Kind of a lull in the action lately.

damn!! I love your bumper / lights setup...How does one go about getting that bumper? Also do you think it could be fabbed to hold a winch?

Yes, you can get it with a winch.

You better upgrade the shit out of your front suspension though. I'm already going to go to 700lb coilsprings on these Icon coilovers at some point just for the bumper and front skid.

As you might imagine, most people here do have future plans for their truck.

Shit John! The front bumper looks great!

I'm running 700# king springs on my 2.5 foxes. I have the passengerside backed off all the way and it was still topping out the shock when I didn't have all the skids on. Lately haven't had any problems though.

'Preciate it. Yeah, the 700s would definitely be too much without a loaded front end. With the bumper and skids, my 650s seem about right.

My issue now if I want to go up to 700s is that they're only off-the-shelf in a 14" length...Icon specifically designed their 2gen Taco C/Os with a 13.5" spring because that was the best length for the rate they wanted to run. Unfortunately, Icon says 14in springs will coil bind on these C/Os, so it looks like I'm gonna have to have custom 700 pounders made at 13.5" length.

We'll see if that's priced reasonably.

Yeah. That's a good example of when two-footing is nice. Lower gearing would be even nicer. I'm workin' on that...still...

Nah, a lot of cost associated with that. I wasn't planning on doing this right this instant. I can get new gears in the truck, but no new lockers.

I'm hoping I have some combination of bad luck, axle wrap, and Toyota's lack of a solid spacer on the pinion and that regearing and going to new springs is going to address everything but the luck.

If the Nitro regear shits the bed in the next few years, the whole goddamn axle is coming out from under the truck, the e-locker is getting deleted, and a more robust solution will be put in place.

I've thought about that some. I can't decide if I would go the cheap route and bolt up an 8.4 with ARB, or not risk it and slap a rockjock under there.

I'm gonna try not to think about it any more until/unless I have to
