Brightest 1156 reverse bulbs

I'd put a time delay circuit on the ignitor.

The rapid pulse when the shifter passes through reverse on the way to and from park will seriously shorten the life of the ballasts and burners.

Ignore that if it's a manual trans

So is an 1156 bulb for a first gen? And what's the brightest for a first gen? You guys mentioned something from pep boys how are those?

 

1156 for the 1st Gen up to the 2001 facelift.
2001 and later use the 921, so your '04 will not use the 1156 or the auto parts store replacement for it.

I've never seen a brighter 921 in stores.

I bought sylvania Silverstar backup bulbs. I thinks it's a vast improvement and relatively cheap to replace. Probably not as good as the other brands you guys listed, but for the price and availability, and they are brighter than stock, I couldn't pass them up.

 

I was thinking about trying either the Silverstar's or the PIAA Extreme Whites. But was wondering how much brighter they are than stock.
