For ppl with 6" lifts ..

Witch is a better lift 6" stage 1 or fabtech standerd 6" I searched but my iPhone won't let me search for some reason and no I don't have home conputer or I would have found what I was lookn for ... So I just need ur guys input to help me witch is best 6" lift I'm doing this just for everyday driving no off roading .. Thanks

 

Why do you want a 6" lift? Are all the cool kids doing it?

I personally think fabtech is bleh.. it's called fagtech for a reason. Maybe go with procomp?

 

I dont see a problem if your mainly keeping it on the street

Also, OP. I was just asking you a question.

Just get the standard fagtech lift. You aren't offroading, you don't need the added offroad performance from the stage 1.

 

It is really personal preference. I was going to go with a 6" lift, but have decided against it for a more conventional 3". Sure larger tires look awesome on a truck, but it really comes down to how much you will use it offroad. Remember, larger tires equal less gas mileage, more mods to raise truck, and more struggle on your engine (unless you regear).

Fabtech is pricey. Pro Comp is ok. Really, the decision is up to you. But you have to expect opinions of others if you put it on a public forum.

OP I would tack another grand or two onto your lift budget for gears. My V6 doesn't like the 255/85/16's I have on now when I'm climbing mountains and your going much larger.

way to much money to "look cool" imo

i would have to check but the gears & install i have more than 2g in them.& my truck is not built to loooook coooool as you say about 6'ers its a very capable truck

 

im running 4.88 with arb lockers i got $3,200.00 in to them

 

i wish i had gone 4.88's & the locker is on my list now along w s/c still

 

The S/C is on my list too
