New Car Smell STOLEN From Me...

My neighbor is an aircraft mech. They use Ozium to get vomit smell out.
Bomb the interior with Ozium and leave vehicle out in the sun with windows closed. You can pick it up at Wally World auto dept.

#1 Rule no kids or drunk chicks allowed in my truck. On a brighter note... at least he wasn't in diapers and have those explode into the seat.

Lucky, the puke was only there for a few minutes. I used some "OUT!" pet stain remover which seemed to neutralize it more and then I borrowed a steam cleaner and hit it with that last night. We shall see.

Did someone say that the seat covers will come off? If so, I'll take it off and wash it! It's held on by metal hooks? Hmmm...

I work for a limo company and they had this industrial spray that they use for puke. I tried it, now the fucking thing smells like cherry cough syrup! Im going to scrub it down with hot water and soap and be done with it. At least the puke smell seems to be gone. We'll see...

 

Six years ago, coming home from Christmas at the Grandparents, my son projectile vomitted all over the back seat of our Jetta. I tried everything to to clean it, but to this day, if you get in the car on a hot day after the windows have been rolled up, the odor is hard to miss.

Washing it just seemed to work it deeper into the foam. I think your only choice is to wait for a cold day and sell the truck.

 

You can replace / remove the seat covers.

hmmm. ive had my xrunner since last june and it still smells brand new. i NEVER smoke in it and i really try not to pick up fast food in it.

 

LOL. Do you even use any of the 13 drink holders? Personally, I smoke, eat, drink (soda or tea), or whatever without worries. I got my truck to use, not admire for it's perfect cleanliness (even though it is clean).

By the way, I've had mine almost as long and it still smells brand new as well. Part of that may be due to the perfume apparently added to the interior air filter (at least that's where the odor seems to be coming from).

 

Nope. No drinks allowed in my truck lol. I have an xrunner though, gotta keep it perfectly clean 24/7. It's garage kept and always immaculate. Know your roles lol.

When I had my Tacoma, it was always muddy and I smoked in it but never smelled.

Doesn't work on our seats. They just absorb the water like a fucking sponge. We have that exact one and it won't work on the taco.





I just recently used this on my entire front seats. Worked like a charm. Follow the directions and you won't go wrong at all. Just make sure to apply it evenly and carb load before hand.

 

Sounds like a good time to look into the Wet Okoles. They will cover that smell and then some!

Hopefully I will survive this post..... I use the scentsy brand car air fresheners in my taco. My wife sells the stuff and she introduced me to their line of "man scents". She keeps me stocked up with my favorite...."weathered leather". It smells kinda like a country/western store and being from TX, that is a great smell.

 

With two pages of replies I'm sure you've gotten a plethora of ideas.

Here's mine:

Get a large bowl (as big as you can safely fit in the truck somewhere) and fill it with distilled white vinegar. Leave the bowl in the truck, uncovered, overnight with the windows shut. If you can leave it in the truck during the heat of the day, even better.

The vinegar pulls a lot of odors out of the fabric, air, etc. It's worked miracles interiors that reeked of cigarettes.

Remove the bowl of vinegar and let the interior air out (windows and/or doors open) for awhile.

Then get Ozium "new car scent" and spray liberally in the truck with the windows/doors shut. That's the scent that the dealers use.

Go to store that rents rug doctor, pick up the enzyme cleaner spray it down, let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then extract it with the rug doctor and hand tool with the enzymes mixed in tank according to label directions. It may take 2 to 3 applications, but it will remove the vomit smell

It's WAY better now. At this point, puke smell is gone and over fragranced smell is in. The detail stuff that I got from work did its job but left it smelling like cherry cough syrup. I would like no smell at all right now. I have a bowl of distilled vinegar in there tonight all closed up. I think that it is what it is after this, but we'll see what happens.
