hey everyone,so i got pulled over last night and got a 115 dollar ticket because my tires stick out past my fenders

this is actually my second time getting this ticket, in 2 different vehicles.

im running xd revolvers with 265/70/17 duratracs with no mudflaps, so they stick out a bit, but nothing major.

to make things even worse they give me a time limit to have it "repaired" and re inspected by the cop shop.

so my predicament is, do i throw on te factory tires and rims and put cheapo mud flaps on then go back to this and risk another fine, OR do i order bushwackers and nice flaps and leave it on?

are there any other decent looking flares for these trucks? or just the universal ones? which probably wont fit right...

You could get these? They're Bushwacker cut-out fender flares. They aren't cheap, but if you want something that looks good and will last then these are your best bet.

get some garden edging and pop rivet it to the bottom of the existing flares, or like you say with the stock tires and mudflaps

then I imagine after the cop inspects you they somehow rip off

    or jungle flares

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Put the stock wheels back on, sell the XD revolvers, then buy XD revolvers with the proper BS.

I run the same size you do but I kept my mudflaps on. I had asked a cop about that before I bought the tires and he told me that if the tires stick out, then the mudflaps will do fine and avoid a ticket for me. Have not had an issue as of yet.

I'd throw the stock tires and mudflaps back on to get the ticket cleared, then put the XDs back on and leave the flaps on as well.

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
98tacoma. i’m pretty sure they 17x9 wheels when stock OR are 16x8. pretty sure sport are 17x8. so even with same BS as stock they are going to stick out farther.

i say get bushwackers and maybe mud flaps and leave them on and never have to worry about another ticket.

How much BS is it when you are the one following behind him and gets a chipped or broken windshield from a rock thrown by his tires?

Crappy! I know I was warned about the same thing, but have yet to be pulled over or ticketed.
