I have stock non TSB leafs and Toytec 2" AAL, 3" spacers up front... Unloaded the rear is higher than front. Loaded with all my tools, materials, camper, ladders, etc... I have backwards rake and there is only about 2" - 2" 1/2 of room between frame and rear bump stops. Is this OK or am I pushing the limits of the suspension?

Are you mostly going to be driving around with all of your tools? If not you should be ok, if do I would look into getting a custom leaf pack

I believe you may need to have your sarcasm detector checked.

Yes 98% of the time on the road driving around. No wheeling or dirt roads...

I just need the truck last for few more years before I can afford diesel F250 which I really need. Getting 10-11mpg and filling up every 3-4 days gets old quick. When I got the Taco I didn't realize how I am going to use it.

All I want to know if its safe and the spring wont break when I am driving on highway...

Oh snap...lol After working 15hours today I am in zombie mode... Substantial weight. JUST my 75' general speedrooter weighs around 200-250lbs, than chainsaw, 50' minirooter which is about 40-70lbs, tile saw, power tools, many, many hand tools, 5gallon bucket of drywall mud 50-60lbs, camper top aluminum, 6' aluminum ladder, extension ladder, furniture dolly, etc... The bed of the truck is full, like there is no more room to add stuff...lol

It all ads up to estimated 800-1000lbs in the rear of the truck at all times. Payload per Toyota website is 1415lbs. I weigh about 170lbs so I am pushing the limit there... This is every day the bed of the truck never gets unloaded....

Your nearly at the payload limit for the truck on a daily basis, that's going to wear hard on the leafs. As previously stated, you need air bags or quite frankly a full size truck.

    .
I have a rack and shell that is 460lbs of constant weight, last week I weighed through at the dump with 1300lbs in the bed, that's 1760lbs. I usually have tools and crap in the back at all times. Our leafs suck balls basically, after trial and error (and until I get a custom set of Alcans ordered), this is my bullet proof set up: Non-TSB, 2 in AAL, Billie 5100's, Firestone airbags with the fill nozzles installed on the plate that holds the 7 pin connector plug. BTW, that dump run with 1760lbs, i pumped the bags up to 60lbs each, the truck still sat perfectly level. I got charged for volume, not weight!:D

Upside down on the truck... Unless it gets totalled, I cant sell it for what I owe without taking a HUGE hit, so I am screwed there...lol

I wanted to know if anyone is pushing their Taco like I do... Did I mention that with all that weight I also tow my 7x10 single axle trailer 2-3 times a week?

I wonder how long the Taco will take such abuse... I drive 20k+ miles a year with all that weight and towing... Truck already has 135k miles.

I dont want to invest in suspension on this truck so i will take my chances and see how long the leafs will hold up they have 135k miles on them...

Airbags - well I dont want to spend $200 right now and quite frankly can't.

Custom leaf pack - out of question - it would get expensive

I would be better off trying to pay off the truck so I can get the 3/4ton I need...

Yo' stock leafs won't carry fo' shit. Expect to replace them within a year or two. All this assuming of course your truck don' blow up.

You really need a new leaf pack or at least airbags. A new leaf pack will run about $400 or so. Airbags would be good as well. You arent pushing the limits of your supsension, you are punching it in the mouth. Stock springs are only good for riding around town in and if you pick up a fat chick you already have them overloaded......

I use my truck most everyday for carrying heavy loads in the back. The stock leaf springs are worthless. I did some research and came across this thread which may be of interest to you. If I can find some donor leaf springs I might perform the mod.

Quit your bitchin and man up and get some air bags. Just lay off the blow and hookers for a month.

I have a leer 180cc (heavier than normal) shell with pipe rack on top with lots of pvc pipe on it every day. Plus lots of sprinkler repair tools and parts in the bed.

If I did not have air bags I would be bouncing of the bump stops all day long.

Here is what my truck looks like.

Yup air bags or a set of Dakars. If your going to run that weight constantly I would go for the Dakars. I know it sucks to have to put out money but it's going to be in your best interest in the long run.

Given the choice I'd go for the Dakars. The OP's seven year old non-tsb springs have to be shot by now any way. Air bags would only be a band-aid.

True! My non tsb springs wouldn't carry crap.
