    Seriously though, the skid plate on my truck threw me for a loop.

    Oh and no oil came out of my filter drain plug. Nor does a 5/16" tubing fit. :(

    First thing I did. Everything was step by step with your walk through. Minus draining the wrong fluid. Additionally, my filter mount was slightly different than yours.

    You have the Oil cooler. You probably had some crap in your drain. And a hose with an INSIDE diameter of 5/16" will fit. :)

    Crap spackle. I might just see if I can stretch that hose out a bit more then and get it to fit.

    Any idea how I can get the crap out of my drain plug? I realise you may be hesitant to suggest how based on my lack luster track record, but I swear, I'm usually pretty good at following directions.

    Great thread!! You should have taken pictures of where to fill these fluids from though.. So no one "accidentally" fills another fluid using component of the engine.
