Mine is in the same location.
If you push and hold for a second or two the top button after filling up, it will reset the gallons back to full tank - 18.5 gal. (if it is set up right of course - the default value is different)
In order to keep an accurate MPG for each tank you will have to reset that everytime, otherwise you get a rolling average of all the tanks since the last reset. I have mine set up so I clear the trip, which will clear everything related to the trip measurements - MPG, MPH, Gal used etc. That way you only have to clear one item instead of each one by itself. It will still keep a seperate overall MPG which is continuous since the last overall reset. That way you can compare each tank's numbers with the rolling average.
You can download a manual with all the setup instructions from the UltraGauge website in PDF format. It helps a lot with setup and reference afterwards. The manual will explain how to make the adjustment for bigger tires, since it will throw the calculations off if you don't make the adjustment/callibration.

I replaced the alternator so it wouldn't have that supercharger sound anymore. Yay! When I cranked it up all was nice and quiet but there was white smoke pouring out of the tailpipe. FAWKING headgasket
