    Have you heard anything or tried the lower right power source? I am looking to complete the same project. I am presently hooked up to the trailer toe relay but would like to have all wiring under one cover - I assume this is your goal as well.

    never ending..
    ok guys i used the upper green circle on the pic for the foglight mod... hadnt had the lights come on until last night.. luckily walked into front of the house and saw them sitting on with the truck off!!!! make sure if you use that spot to turn the switch off this is the only gaurantee they will not come on..

    I just got done doing it.. I went with the Trailer lights bc thats the way I had before and It worked great... I just need to figure out a better way to run the wire from box to box..
    Most likely I will just drill a small hole in the side of the small box&lid..

    And maybe do a hole in the side of the big box.. Not sure though..

    Ok, so this is what I did... I figured it was just the small box lid that needed to be modified slightly...

    So first I sanded down the plastic on the inside so it wouldnt hit the connector. then drilled a tiny hole in the lid, right where the top of the connector would be... so that way the wire would go straight into the hole from the connector... hope that makes sense..:)

    The Hole is small enough so that the wire insulation is creating a tight seal... ( I may do a gromet later on)
    But te big box is just fine, doesnt need any modifying.. the lid fits around the wire just fine....

    ^^ doing it that way.. Do your lights come on when your truck is off but your fog light button is on?

    They only turn on when the key is in the "on" position. The engine can be off but if you have the key in the ignition and in the "on" position they will be on. if you turn the key to any other position they turn off on there own. Sorry for low quality pics...i took them with my phone.

    Looks clean and simple. I was never able to confirm if the lights came on after shutdown.
    I would recommend you install a in line fuse though.

    So what your saying is this fog light mod works only if the ign key is ON? I tried to attempt this mod today:confused::mad: no luck. However the key was not in the ON position or "IGN" position. Am I missing something?

    Junya, I know that this mod is for a 2012! I was just modding a friend of my who has a 2012 taco. Thanks anyway I fixed my correction. Everything is working CHERRY!!:cool:

    thanks for the write up! wouldnt have figured this one out by myself

    anyway here's what i did. used the bottom right green circle i just used some 16 gauge wire i had laying around and soldered it to a 10amp fuse.. added some heat shrink.. and plugged it in. fog's shut off when the key shuts off.. i can use them all the time or none of the time. they come on with parks, DRL, low beam, or high beam.

    Anytime fogs, bkack emblems, horns, and blacked out center caps
    I just did mine this way by moving the green wire and the red and black wire. The fogs go out with truck off and the button still on with key in OFF and the ACC position but fogs are on in the ON position. Its nice and clean and no one would ever know it wasn't done from the factory this way.
