Im stealing more ideas from you (if thats okay). I was wondering how you screwed these in. Are they small self taping? How long is the screw? I don't want to puncture the pad on top

See the screw at the top of the picture. Unscrew that and another screw and take off the black part.

New versus old spare. New tires, wheels and some other upgrades going on soon.

Anybody need a new 285/75-16, never used?

Yup, 35's. I never ordered from Tire Rack before but I will from now. I literally ordered them on thursday morning and they were on my doorstep friday morning. They were the cheapest I could find these tires and they were in stock. I am going to mount them myself to save a little more money.

Yea no solid axle for another few years for me too. Just wasn't enough cash to do it. I was shorted about $2800 from what I thought I was going to have. Here's what I have going on in the next two weeks.

    -17x9.5 Hutchinson Beadlocks
    -35x12.5-17 Goodyear MTR's
    -Dynabeads for the tires
    -Total Chaos 2" LT kit
    -Total Chaos Spindle Gussets
    -Total Chaos Cam Gussets
    -Icon LT coil overs
    -Icon rear 2.5 VS shocks
    -Re-gear to 4.56
    -ARB rear air locker
    -ARB on-board twin air compressor
    -Swingout tire carrier
    -National Luna Dual battery system
    -Replaced some interior plastic parts
-If there is enough left, a winch.

Damn that's a big tire when it next to the 285 like that.
I know you already did the body mount chop and heavy fender trimming, are you gonna have to do much more or will the LT kit give you the added clearance.

I actually had some issues with the fenders when I shipped the truck back to California. I found some new untrimmed fenders and have had those on since last september. Now with the 35's, I plan to trim the fenders and flares similar to how a couple other members on here have done. I am sure I am going to have to beat back the fender well just a bit more to get these to fit.

theres an fj 80 front axle at the shop and i thought it was yours.nice list of upgrades should handle really nice after you put the bigger tires on it. i want to move up my tires size as well,i really like norths set up ,i just need more time.1 inch body lift and trim 2" out of the fender wells and cut back the rear bumper to make some more room for 36" tsl radials. we need to hit up some more trails when my truck and your truck are ready...you sen that toyota jamboo in colorado july 21 st i think....loook awesome:D
