I emailed them about flares for on 09 and got this back from them. My motivation is for coverage for wider tires and really like the Arctic Truck flares.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Jungle Fender Flares and for the feedback about making 05+ Tacoma fender flares. We are currently considering what model to make next so we would appreciate any further details that you can give us about what you are looking for. Please see our webpage about this and let us know what you'd like to see in the next model of Jungle Fender Flares here;

Thanks a lot for posting this Bobo_1.

We have had a few people inquiring about larger fender flares for the 05+ Toyota Tacoma.

Could somebody tell me how much coverage the factory fender flares provide on this model? Is it right that the biggest available (Bushwackers) for this model provide only 1.75" of extra tire coverage?

Please do leave feedback on the link above describing what you'd like to see in the next model of Jungle Fender Flares.

I measured my stock ones from the outside and the top of the flare and got about 1.75". Could be 1.5".

    Bushwacker lists the following:
"BUSHWACKER POCKET STYLE FENDER FLARES, ABS PLASTIC, MATTE BLACK, SET OF 4 -- Adds 1.75 in. of tire coverage; Includes decorative stainless steel hardware;"

    But someone here posted this:
"They only add 3/4 of an inch over the factory flares." http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/107716-finally-bumper-flares-installed-2.html

    And someone else posted this:
    "Here's the facts!

The front stock fenders from the strut tower out is 15".
The front with the BW fenders from the strut tower out is 15.5"
A gain of .5" of tire coverage

The rear stock fenders from the bedside wall out is 15"
The rear with the BW fenders from the bedside out is 16"
A gain of 1" of tire coverage"

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/56202-bw-fenders-my-sb-dbl-cab-eyelids.html

From what I can tell, I would want at least 1.5" to 2" over factory flares. I want wider tires but I want coverage so I am not throwing debris on other vehicles. And FWIW, I am not partial to the exposed faked bolts in the Bushwacker flares. To see what I really want go to http://www.arctictrucks.com/pages/1575 and click on pic 8 of 12.1

I think the 1.75" flare is comparing to no flare at all.

right...the BW measurements are from the outside of the fender to the outside of the flare. i would think that a 2.5" coverage flare would work for just about everyone.

Yup i'm well aware, that's why i like them better. They don't look stand out as much as the jungle flares.

Does Glassworks even make fender flares? I though they only sell fenders...

Do you mean that you think "fender flares" are hideous, as in all fender flares (like on your truck)? Or if you are talking about jungle fender flares, which model are you talking about? They all look different.

for someone looking for just flares to buy glassworks is like someone wanting a leveling kit and go get their truck a solid axle conversion.

completely different animals we're talking about here. I think the jungle flares are 1481581851851358X better looking than bushwackers
