Hey everyone, just got a 09 Tacoma PreRunner double cab and I already LOVE it! Now Im ready to make it more of "my own". Ive been looking at different systems and wondering what y'all are using. Ive found some boxes that go behind the seats but am not sure about them because I have to have a shallow mount sub and i don't think i would like the output of the shallow mounts.

Anyways, glad to be here and hopefully ill be able to help the forum out with some good how-tos and write ups.

Well now I can't find the box I was thinking of and the ones I'm finding are out of state anyway. But search on here and you will get plenty of ideas.

Thanks everyone! Yea I'm going to build a custom box to go under the rear seats, probably next weekend. I just don't want to get rid of the useful space behind the seats. Im also going to find where that dam buzzer is for the seatbelt, and disconnect that!

    Here ya go

    1) Turn the Car 'ON', but do not start the engine (Leave your foot off the brake). Cycle your trip reset knob until it reads ODO. Turn the ignition back off. Wait a couple of seconds.
    2) Make sure seat belt is not fastened
    3) Turn the ignition back on, do not start the car (Leave you foot off the break) As soon as you see everything light up, press and hold the trip reset knob and do a long 12 second count.
    4) Keep your finger on the trip reset knob. Fasten your seat belt, as soon as you fasten your seat belt, you should see the ODO display go from XXXX miles to "b-on". At that time take your finger off the trip reset knob and press it again. It should cycle to "b-off". You should be all set and turn the ignition off and unfasten your seat belt.

There is a ton of "free" mods listed here.

Welcome from another Athens guy! Good luck with the system build. My first system got stolen, but I've about got it all replaced now, with a JVC arsenal 10' sub in a custom box I built that fits in between the rear seats(I have an access cab), JVC components up front and DVD head unit. Now just need to get components for the rear and a 4 channel amp and I'll be back! Sucked to lose everything but at least I get a chance to rebuild it better than before! Good luck with the taco and system build, I'm in kennesaw a lot so if you see a silver 2nd gen access cab with roll bars give me a wave!
