3rd Gen 1" lift??

Is there such a thing as a 1" lift for a 3rd Gen?? My wifes Runner could use a little lift, but she won't let me.... I figured I could get away with an inch without her really noticing

hahaha... well, let me re phrase that... she doesn't want me to lift it as much as my Tacoma, (which is only up 2").. so I figured 1" would be good

 

just level it out with bilsteins and maybe tsb

 

No TSB for 4runners, we have coils not leafs.

Your best bet is either 99 tall springs or the cheapest is a 1" body lift.

They are the coils from certain 4wd 99 4runners. In 99 they had a model called the "Highlander". Basically the sport edition, but before the designation. They are 1" taller than the other years.

Part Numbers:
Front right 48131-35400 L=368mm
Front left 48131-35350 L=374mm
Rears ( same for both ) 48231-35210

Color Codes:
Fronts: Blue/Pink & Blue/Yellow
Rears: Green/Red

These are a good alternative and will replace your worn out coils.

I kinda enjoy my runner leveled out now, (guessing because of wore rear springs) is this gonna lift my rear higher then front now? I just bought an 02' for a grocery getter. trying to do a couple things to make myself like it. (The extra loud system I just installed didnt work)

 

If you put just the rear coils in you will have some rake. The 02's have the lowest stock height of all 3rd gens so depending on how your coils have sagged it may be more than 1" of rake. I would replace all 4 for a level aggressive stance. Congrats on the purchase. Since you have an automatic look into a transmission cooler or replacing the radiator otherwise you may be a victim of the "pink milkshake."

The 99' tall rear springs leveled my stock 01, and it has no rake at all.
I then removed them and added spacers front and rear.
The 1" front spacers gave me 1.5" of lift.
The 2.5" rear spacers gave me 2.5" of lift(with stock springs).
No rake at all with spacers, and a small subtle lift that actually makes getting in and out easier for me.
I guess the factory spring wear/sag does come in to play on if your 4runner will end up level or not though.
