who made your fender trims or where did you get them and how much did you cut out thanks

 

John Black of Blacks R&R in Gardnerville, NV narrowed my stock fenders for me. I got them narrowed 2", and took a little more out of the fenders to insure clearance. I'd have gone 2.5" or 2 3/4" knowing what I know now.

So I got some of this Dry Moly spray, goes on wet and then the solvent dries and leaves behind a coating of moly that sticks pretty damn well to seemingly everything. So I thought what the hell I'll try it on one of my cvs. Sprayed it all over both boots. They're now coated with a dry moly that doesn't attract grit or dirt, might help with the rubbing of the fins, even if just slightly. I just thought I'd test it out, why not eh?

Seems like cool shit though, I like it.

Poor Tacoma has been sitting for the past few weeks, I've put maybe 10 miles on it, and that was just to try and get rid of all the spiders making homes and to make sure it got driven a little.

I like this work truck but I miss the hell out of the Tacoma.

Still need to replace the axle shaft too so I haven't wanted to go exploring or anything.

Chevy 2500 van full of tools. But it keeps the truck miles down. And I spend zero $ on gas mon-fri

I love my work truck, been living in the thing for the last few months. The Tacoma has been parked and driving my Landcruiser with the top and doors off the past couple days.

What is the dry moly that you are using? I would be interested trying it I have some stuff a buddy gave me but it seems to attract dirt and grime.

 

My Taco IS my work truck... 60K in two years...
need to find a DD so I can keep it for play...

I like it so far, but haven't gotten to really put a test to it. It goes on a wet but dries quick and leaves behind a plating of this moly coating that sticks damn well.

The local Napa in Williston ND has it but it's by far the best and biggest napa I've ever seen in my life. The sell guns and toilet paper as well.

Not sure where else you'd pick it up, maybe online.

I do believe there a couple other brands out there as well but I know Zep is a good company.

 

Sounds like hell of a Napa....got your guns and TP. I will look around for it here we have a big Napa in Twin and lots of Ag/industrial supply places that I can check.

 

If you have a Grainger they might carry some sort of dry moly spray. I guess CRC makes some too.

Just drove through Twin Falls on my way up to ND. Nice place. Maybe I'll snag those tires on the way down, might have some cash by then too.
