So i purpose we create a thread that has information for lifted trucks just like the one for the max stock wheel size thread. All size and types of lifts are welcome to post.

THIS WILL STOP NEWBS LIKE MYSELF FROM ASKING THIS OVER AND OVER.

    PLEASE POST YOUR LIFTED SPECS:

    Model Year:
    4x4 OR 2wd:
    5 or 6 lug:
Lift Installed Ex: DB or long travel, spindle, brands, lengths, etc:
    Wheels Installed:
    Wheel backspacing:
    Wheel offset:
    Wheel spacers?:
    Wheel TPS?:
    Tires Installed:
    UCA:
    LCA:
    Front Bumper:
    Plastic trimming needed:
    Body Mount Trimming or Rubbing:
    Picture If You Have One:

    General Rule of thumb
33s (285) on a 6" lift will have no rubbing and require no trimming.

35s (315) on a 6" lift will have rubbing and require trimming.

33s (285) on a 3" lift will have rubbing and require trimming.

32s (265) on a 3" lift will have no rubbing and require no trimming.

4.5" backspacing on a 8" wide wheel is the best to avoid any rubbing for these trucks. 4" backspacing would be your next best bet.

These statements are true in the large majority of cases for off road use. Hope this helps and is relevant to the thread.

Great thread, im still deciding what size tires to go with after i install a lift and this is very helpful, i want to keep the trimming to a minimum.

Im considering going with this size but choices are very limited and i dont wanna run a m/t all the time. Maybe ill save up a little extra cash and have a setup like yours, go with the 255s on my stock trd offroad rims for offroading only, then get aftermarket wheels with 32s For daily driving.

The whole purpose of this thread is to answer questions like that so they aren't asked over and over again, but you asked what size you need... Only you can decide that. What tires will fit no rubbing is 265/65/18.
