Sound Deadening. Attention Experts.

I just installed my sound system and I would love to get sum sound deadening. So anyone care to let me know which one to go with and maybe a website i can get it at too. I would rather order myself due to the fact all shops down here wanna charge an arm and a leg. Thanks!

 

I bought some Raammat for mine. There's a TW discount available.

 

I used Raammat as well and think it is the best value. There may be subjectively better products out there, but the marginal improvement has yet to be seen in my opinion.

I realize that there are obvious flaws when listening to subs in a show room. But with that I mind, I preferred the sound of the alpine type-s over any of the kicker subs. The Alpine sounded tighter and more musical. The sales person informed me that the kicker subs use better technology and are a far better sub. Any thoughts on this?

There's really not as much technology in a speaker as people would make you believe. They haven't really changed material or shape for decades. Plop down a McIntosh vintage speaker and compare it to the stuff they make today, and I bet they look the same. These guys build speakers like money is no object, so why are the speakers still the same shape and still using a magnet to push a paper cone back and forth? Somebody' grandad got it right.

I've never cared for Kicker because I was always able to find something that sounded better no matter what showroom I was in.

Your eyes and (more importantly) your ears already told you everything you needed to know. If your competition can't beat the Alpine solidly, why get it?
