well getting my taxes back from the MAN in a couple of days and the wife was kind enough to give me 2500 for whatever i wanted to do with the truck. I have a DC long bed, I think Definitely want the ultimate lift kit from toytec and the tc uca's. Is there any way from the remaining 1k you think I can score some decent tires with that and does anybody have this setup and have a good tire size in mind that i wont have to trim anything or a lot in the wheel well. Any comment is appreciated and would love to hear what you got. Thanks

Sounds like you got the right setup figured out. Just a word of advice on the tires for saving a penny or two: Get 4 good tires, but for the spare just go to a used-tire place, you can get a decent spare for around $50 instead of getting a matching tire at $200.

Also, I've seen 265/75/16 with that lift and they look good but you can run 285/75/16s without issue too; you should probably go with the larger tire since your truck is so long... it would look better and shouldn't require any trimming. You also might want to consider getting some Spidertrax wheel spacers to give it a bit wider stance on the stock wheels. Look at Silverbacks tacoma build, he has some pics of his taco with 285/75/16 on stockTRD wheels with spacers. The spacers will run you about $200+ship for all 4.

    Good luck!

OOPs, I see you got the sport with 17's... anyway, you'll get the idea.

Dude 2500 is plenty! Get some MT with the 1000 left over just look around, how many inches does the ultimate lift kit give you? 2.5 or 3? you can fit 265\70-17 and if you want to go with the 285 then you might need a bit of trimming and being that you have the 09 is kinda iffy.. i wouldn't do it to mine (if i was you)

and i think they say off road use only cause they aren't DOT approved...I forget what the whole process is...but it costs a bit more and puts some more liability on the company.

they would have to pay out the asssss with liability insurance,so its alot cheaper to say offroad only when you know most are using it for on road.
