hey there i just got the taco about 2 weeks ago and love it... i have been a fan for years before i could drive. I made a mistake and went offroad near some powerlines. I got stuck in the SC clay. It cost a towtruck $600 to get me out and 4 hrs. I want to get a suspension/body lift, tires and exaust...but im not sure if my parents will let me do anything..and i am really mad so if people can help with mods that are not too insane till i move out a big help

If you are going to be off roading then ditch the chains and get a strap.

did they lower the driving age or something? how are you 15 and going offroading by yourself?
im suprised yer still alive after getting your parents brand new '09 stuck in the mud. double surprised they havent knocked some sense into you after going into the clay wth stock tires and 2wd. triple suprised they didnt take away your driving priveledges after footing a $600 tow truck bill. count your blessings young man, be happy with what you have and thank your parents for letting you live.

Haha good ol hydro lines. That was the first place i got stuck to, over the tires in mud/clay. No tow truck was getting in the way I got in. Luckly I an old man drove by on his 4-wheeler. He was talking horrible french and all I understood was "blah blah blah Timberjack blah blah...". Sure enough 10 mins after he drove off We heard tire chains slapping and trees breaking. Old man showed up with a timber jack, I hooked on my NEW 27000LB tow strap and he pulled/lifted me out. It frayed half the strap :(. All in all it was a good time. Would I do it in someone elses new truck? No. Am I going to try it again in mine? You bet. :p

Clemson, I'm not trying to tell you what to do, because you learn from mistakes. But here is some advice, stay away from the power lines if you want to keep that nice new truck of yours in good shape. I have several old powerline stories from my somewhat "wilder" days.....none of them have a happy ending.
