No problem at all for the chrome plated plastic. Spray away. For the undercoating kit, just go through kellsport. They are an authorized distributor of ours. That is me in the video link. I need to work on my presentation skills, lol.

 

+1 for Kellsport. I ordered the kit and it came very quickly. Everything was packaged up nice and neat. I ordered the kit with 1 gallon of Fluid Film, the spray can and upgraded to the better gun since I'll be doing this once a year.

 

FYI, this stuff is magic on the pins and springs on hi-lift jacks. thick enough of a compound to get everything moving freely, but not so thick that it collects dirt and grime. gonna be ordering more as soon as my sample can runs out for sure

 

I took the taco out yesterday I had sprayed some fluid film on some parts of my frame, after going through water and some mud and driving in the rain home the fluid film sprayed parts are dirt/mud/water wet free this stuff works great.

got mine fast! i ended up buying 2 cans from zorro tools (cheapest in google shopping) shipped fast and went to town on my undercarriage . didnt even use half a can! plan on buying a gallon and sprayer this winter

The way I read it, the standard gun is a pressure pot style sprayer with a trigger and no adjustment so it's either on or off. The only way to regulate spray is pressure (which isn't a good regulator because you need a certain amount to even push the material to begin with). The ungraded gun allows you to adjust the flow at the nozzle so you can tweak it based on the area you're trying to spray.

I've never applied a coating like this before so I figured the built in adjustability would be nice, allowing me to move as fast or slow as I want. It was a $25 upgrade to the better gun and I sprung for it since I'll be doing this annually.

How would this stuff work on leaf springs? Like if I get a new set and coat them completely in this. Good or bad idea?
