Finally completed my OME lift. Got the COs and shocks a while ago and picked up dakars at the toytec customer appreciation day for 10% off! Stay tuned and I will have this beech lifted before you know it.

A 2010 was low?

Get it back to the dealer if you're still under warranty. AC refrigerant is not like oil and gas. It doesn't get used up. If the seals are good, a 20 year old system will work.
If they aren't good, it won't work.

I hope you didn't overcharge if you used a DIY kit that only monitors the low pressure side.

It was low. No warranty for that puppy though.

 

No way should a 2yr old truck be 'low' unless there is a leak which would indeed be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

 

I'm well out of the warranty on the mileage side.

Regardless, I'm back working 100% Just in time for the heat wave

 

Installed a bed rack.

I'm just waiting on my KM2s to install on my newly arrived ATX Teflon Mojaves.

2010 needing an AC Charge could only mean a leak. My 20 year old Isuzu didn't need a charge over its 20 year life span. Still as cold as the day I bought it.

You got a leak.

 

Ever system is different though. I agree his 2010 may have a leak somewhere, but overtime refrigerant will get low in any AC system/Coil

 

It wasn't my idea, I saw a few others on TW and thought it was a great idea. Went for a 20 mile drive tonight and the dog really enjoyed it. Highly recommended for access cab owners that bring their dogs with them.

 

Not on my truck but I fabbed up some bed bars with light tabs and tie down points for another member on here. Coated with Duplicolor bed liner. They bolt to the bed cleats so they are quickly adjustable and removable if need be.

 

I've owned my truck for over three years now. Plus, it's not like I replaced all the refrigerant. Just topped it off.

Not according to the gauges.

I guess that remains to be seen.

 

Not to continue to bring you down here but refrigerant does not get low over time. ONLY a leak will cause it to get low. A small slow leak will not indicate on the gauges. You need to use uv dye and a black light to find the leak. Or the good old fashioned way (but not recommended) a spray bottle with soapy water. I would highly recommend you sniff out the leak as freon carries oil to lube the compressor and if you leak the oil you could seize the compressor up and have more expensive problems in the future. Ac Leak detection kits can be purchased from autozone and are cheap. The uv dye might not show up right away where the leak is. Sometimes it has to run for a while. This could be an easy fix like tightening up a bolt that connects the lines to other parts of the system and is most likely the culprit unless there was some sort of damage like a slipped wrench or a collision. Often times a rock can fly up at the condenser (which looks like a second radiator) and puncture it as well.
