I've been hangin around TN lately. So today I read this Sirius install. I like the ways the cables ran so I went, and did that to hide the cables.

Then I read an article on console removal. It looked easy so I went and did it for the hell of it.

So why I had it apart, I ran a 12v receptacle into the console. Took longer to go get the parts then it did to install it.

    I don't have a pic but here'e the idea:

Remove center console (the part from the shifter to the storage console) it pulls right up without tools
Install a add-a-circuit to fuse block (remove a 10amp fuse & plug in add-a-circuit w/10a fuses) & run wire under dash & under the console
    Remove carpet from console.
Run wire from 12v receptacle through one of the holes in the console floor.
Tap a ground under the console......plenty of them
Splice positive wire from add-a-circuit to positive wire of receptacle
Find a place to mount receptacle.
    Mount receptacle with 3m tape
    Install carpet & replace console

    1hr 15mins with a run to Autozone

    $22 for add a circuit, 10a fuses, & receptacle

I had wire & insulated splices at home....other wise add about $7

Re-Blacked my already Blacked out headlights. First time I did it with a friend who wasn't too fond on following directions which resulted in a mostly black headlight with chrome spots here and there. So I printed up directions, and took it slow by myself. Looks great so far.
