 How do I know which one I need lol

Well the reason why I steered away from LED after a brief moment of wanting it is because the guy that sells them here on TW said this via PM

    EDIT Nvm, found it!

    http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/vehicle/2005-toyota-tacoma--/62-1052--/

What's the difference between tail light and stop light? Stop light = brakes applied I assume? And high light = 3rd brake light? I wonder what issues he ran in to that made him not want to carry them anymore..

Mike, why did I watch all 7 mins of that? So what are you going for as far as finding a solution for that spare? Just keep it locked up in the bed? I still have my OEM spare sitting under my truck and my full size spare sitting in my bed. Never got a chance to finish the tiregate project I had started with Brad over at gitout :(

It's informational for those considering trying that. I know Alan was wanting to know if it could be done. I'm going to do the same with a 285 (I know it can't be done, but some try), and I'm hoping others are encouraged to post video on creative, inexpensive ways on mounting.

If that tire gate thing works out, I'd be interested in buying the next one on the production line, provided I have that money :)

Ok guys, I really need your input on this one. Last trip to TSF, Zach mentioned my exhaust tips were scraping on the rocks. Not good. That plus the issue of not having a fully welded exhaust is making me annoyed. To the point, I am looking into getting a Magnaflow muffler. Should I just lose the pipes past the muffler? Or swap the muffler and just cut the pipes shorter?

I also have the option of type of muffler... Street, Race, "Glass Pack"...

Do you have pics of where your hitting or where ur exhaust comes out? My tips dump right under the frame of my RR tire. I've thought about making a bolt on skid to protect the exhaust.

Good job Mike! I am still needing a 285/70r17 MT spare. Once I get one, I have a few different ideas on mounting it, most-likely underneath won't work. Wondering if I could get creative with a slide-rail swingarm system that would work.

if anyone happens to come across a 285/70R17 tire (just 1) w/ an aggressive tread and at least 75% tread, please let me know. Not wanting to spend over $80-$100

Would like to get Mickey Thompson MTZs, Goodyear MT/Rs (new or orig.), Nitto Trail Grappler, maybe Cooper Discoverer STTs, BFG KMs or KM2s. Might just have to get TreadWright Guard Dogs...but that's $180 shipped

I kid! It was, indeed, very informative. I think a lot of people aren't running full size spare due to the fact that they can't afford one, don't think they need one or simply don't need one. I wasn't until Richard(singlfin) decided to sell/part his old tires..never got one because I feel I don't really need one but I know I can't be too safe.

The tire gate project had to stop because I had to spend the money I put aside to deal with legal issues and everyone knows lawyers aren't cheap!

We even got the angle and bends of the tube all worked out :(

EDIT He even made a notch at the bottom of the tube just like the tailgate where you have to have it at a certain angle for it to pull out and off.

I went with the 18" wicked flow muffler. With the pipe cut right after the axle. So its tucked up and hidden

Mellow. At start up you can notice just a slight increase in sound. When you pit your foot into it you can hear a difference. Otherwise its just mellow. A little louder then stock.
